Wildlife Habitat

Situated between Red Hill and Lee’s Pond, the Moultonborough Falls Conservation Area (MFCA) offers a corridor to water, wetlands and habitat for a wide variety of wildlife.

Development in Moultonborough over the past few decades have reduced or eliminated wildlife corridors.  Moose, deer and bear are the most affected, but smaller animals too.

By ensuring the MFCA will remain undeveloped forever, we are setting aside some land for wildlife to move and live, undisturbed by human habitat.  Wildlife thrives better when there are large, undisturbed tracks of land.
